911 Communications

The Fredericksburg Police Department operates and maintains a state-of-the-art public safety communications center, appropriately identified as the 911 Communications Center. The Center is a consolidated environment that coordinates the response efforts for Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services within the City limits, as well as in surrounding areas through mutual aid agreements with neighboring localities. High-quality equipment and personnel allow the Center to maximize the response of public safety personnel and equipment in meeting the needs of the service area.

The Emergency Communications Center is staffed by certified communications personnel and provides 24-hour, toll-free telephone access for emergency or non-emergency requests for service.
