Drug Disposal Box

Do you have medications you would like properly disposed of? The Police Department can help you with that. Citizens can safely dispose of unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs at Fredericksburg Police Headquarters. The drug disposal box is located in the lobby of Police Headquarters.

Items accepted: 

• Prescription patches
• Prescription medications
• Over-the-counter medications
• Vitamins
• Samples
• Medications for pets

Items not accepted: 

• Hydrogen peroxide
• Inhalers
• Aerosol cans
• Ointments
• Lotions
• Liquids
• Medication from businesses or clinics
• Sharps/needles
• Thermometers
