The Police Department understands that faith-based communities strive to promote an open and welcoming atmosphere while ensuring a safe and secure place for fellowship. The Department has developed a safety and crime prevention program specifically designed to meet the unique needs of places of worship that includes:
Safety and crime prevention assessment of the facility and grounds
Training seminar for key staff that includes developing safety policy and procedures
Training class for members of the congregation that includes personal safety and response to active shooter incidents
