For over a decade, sworn and civilian employees of the Fredericksburg Police Department have been proud members of Law Enforcement United, a non-profit organization honoring officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Law Enforcement United (LEU) also provides financial and emotional support to the families and loved ones of fallen officers.
Team Fredericksburg includes members of the Fredericksburg Police Department, deputies from the Fredericksburg Sheriff's Office, and other local law enforcement members and citizens from the area. LEU's signature event is the Road to Hope, a 250-mile bicycle ride during Police Week. More than 500 law enforcement officers unite each year for the physical and emotional journey. Members of the Fredericksburg Police Department participate in the Road to Hope ride every year as riders and support staff.
All members of Team Fredericksburg participate in Road to Hope fundraising efforts. 100% of the fundraising is used to support the Road to Hope, Concerns of Police Survivors, the Officer Down Memorial Page, and the Spirit of Blue Foundation.
If you would like to host a fundraiser or donate, contact Lieutenant Cowles via e-mail.
