Snowball Fight

Hurkamp Park
Admission $3 per person or $5 for 2 people

Held snow or shine! We provide the snowballs (no snow necessary). Come dressed for the weather, bring drinking water.Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult. Teen and adults, bring your group of friends and we’ll schedule you for an adults-only match too!

Admission $3 per person or $5 for 2 people. Admission is accepted on-site at the event. Matches are approximately every 10 minutes. Signed waivers are required to play.

Father Daughter dance

Pre-registration: $6 per person and at the Door if space permits: $8 per person

Attention Dads!! Join us for our Annual Valentine’s Dance for fathers, stepdads, grandpas, and uncles to treat their little sweethearts to an evening of dress-up, fun and dancing. It’s a magical evening for dads and daughters alike. Girls must be between 4 -12 years old. We will have a professional photographer taking optional portraits for those of you who would like a memento of this special night. Light refreshments will be served. Attire is everything from dress casual to fancy. Pre-registration is recommended. Sorry, no moms allowed.

Japanese Art: Valentine’s Day Card Making and Origami

Dorothy Hart Community Center, 408 Canal Street
Pre-registration is required: $10 city residents / $15 non-city residents

Students 10 years and older will learn origami (folding paper). An instructor will show you basic folds instruction and we all make origami artwork! We will also make a Valentine’s Day Card. Pre-registration is required. Instructor: Minae Uehara. Location: Dorothy Hart Community Center.

Nerf Mania

Friday, February 28
6:30pm–7:30pm (Ages 6-8yrs)
7:45pm-8:45pm (Ages 9-13yrs)
Dorothy Hart Community Center, 408 Canal Street
$10 per person, limited space – pre-registration is required.

Come to the Dorothy Hart Community Center for a night of action-packed fun as we transform the auditorium into a Nerf battlefield. Nerf Mania will feature several short games such as capture the flag, free play with obstacles, target practice, and other favorites. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Bring your own Nerf gun (limit only 1) and protective eye wear. We will supply the Nerf bullets. Players must wear protective eyewear. Staff reserves the right to deny use of any participant’s Nerf gun that they feel is too powerful. Pre-registration is required. Parents must stay with children during the event.

Hinamatsuri is a Girl’s Festival event on March 3rd in Japan. In Japan, we decorate dolls in houses to wish happiness and health for children. In this class, students will learn how to make origami motifs of the Girl’s Festival. Pre-registration is required. Instructor: Minae Uehara. Location: Dorothy Hart Community Center.

Motts Ice Breaker Tournaments

Tournament Hours 8:00am - 3:00pm at Motts Run Reservoir, 6600 River Road
$50 entry fee per team with $5 going towards big fish. 

More prize details and tournament rules available soon.The Weekend Bassers Fishing Club will hold two winter open Ice-Breaker Fishing Tournaments at Motts Run Reservoir. Proceeds will benefit the Kids’ Fishing Derby in June. Boat rental available. Bring own fishing gear. PARK WILL BE OPEN TO PUBLIC during tournament hours.
