Child Protective Services

Prevention Services may be provided to families prior to the receipt of a valid Child Protective Services referral. The goal of prevention services is to strengthen the family by ensuring safety, preventing future child abuse or neglect, and preventing out of home care.
To make a report of child abuse or neglect call (540) 940-2401 or after hours call the toll free hotline (800)-552-7096.
Mandated reporters only can make a report online on the VaCPS website.
