Foster Care & Adoption

Resource ParentFoster care is temporary substitute care arranged for children who cannot remain in their homes due to abuse and/or neglect. Through the Fredericksburg Department of Social Services, Fredericksburg Resource Families offers a Foster to Adopt program. We are seeking resource families to provide nurturing homes to children and siblings of all ages. The decision to become a foster parent or adoptive parent is one that takes time and consideration in committing to the process. Our dedicated staff takes pride in working with each of our resource families to help guide you through the process to become a resource foster or adoptive parent. We thank you for your interest in helping children who are in need of caring families.
