Applying for Restricted or Restoration of License

The Clerk's office cannot help you with preparing or correcting your file.

It is illegal. Va Code 19.2-392.2

How do you know what type of license you need:

1. Restricted License:

a. Your license was suspended by the Court due to Criminal charges
*Check your Sentencing Order for guidance

2. Restoration License:

a. DMV declared you a Habitual offender and revoked your license because of traffic violations such as but not limited to:

  1. Multiple Traffic Violations
  2. Drug or Alcohol Violations
  3. Driving on Suspended License
  4. Failure to pay Fines and Costs
  5. Failure to satisfy a Judgment

b. Your license was revoked by the DMV due to the conviction of a DUI Offense such as but not limited to:

  1. 3rd DUI Offense within 10 years
  2. Involuntary manslaughter related to DUI
  3. Maiming related to DUI
