On July 4, the City will host this annual family friendly event. See flyer below for more details. Below are the events and street closures. Please be mindful of the large number of pedestrians and vehicles in the downtown area.
7:45 a.m. Heritage Festival Five-Mile Run - Rolling street closures from 500 block of Caroline traveling through Normandy Village, Fall Hill Ave., Washington and Mary Ball, Kenmore, Wolfe and back down to 300 block of Charlotte. The 300 block of Charlotte Street will be closed from 6:30AM – 10AM.
9:30 a.m. Annual Heritage Day Parade – Rolling Street closures are the 500 – 800 block of Caroline to left onto the 200 block of George, left onto 500 - 800 Princess Anne, left onto the 200 block of Wolfe.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Festival of the Streets – crafts and food vendors, live entertainment, classic car show and children’s activities on 600 - 800 Sophia St from Wolfe to George Streets. The 100 block of Charlotte and 100 Block of Hanover. Streets closures 5AM through 5PM for the above streets. The west bound lane of the 200 block of Charlotte is closed due to courthouse construction.
11:30 a.m. 32nd Annual Rappahannock River Raft Race – begins at Falmouth Waterfront Park – ends at City Dock.
9:15 p.m. The Fireworks
