Part one of the Fall Hill Avenue Transportation Improvement Project got underway in April, 2013 beginning with the bid process, contractor selection, and contract award in May 2013 to American Infrastructure for the construction of the new bridge. Work not requiring road closure commenced in June 2013. The current bridge was closed down to traffic on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 and will remain closed until October 2014.
Traffic must detour and use alternate routes. Multiple detour signs are posted in prominent places alerting all motorists of the road closure ahead.
