Instead of Raking this year, Leave the Leaves to improve your soil

Instead of looking at leaves as something to remove this year, think about retaining them on your site for a FREE way to improve your soil and add those added nutrients for your valued landscaping. Seems such a “waste” when you realize that leaves actually act as great fertilizer and soil lightener – meaning the improve soil texture and add nutrients that are good for lawns, annuals, perennials and trees.

They are a great way to bulk up your compost pile as well! Come spring, you can have beautiful, fertile soil to add to your flower and vegetable beds and pots.

Check out this article containing research information and ideas about how to use your valuable leaves on your own yard!
